Immersed in water in the womb. Fear or not being able to let go, not trusting, getting in the protective womb fetal position, bringing upon yourself your worst fears, panicking about drowning brings upon you the contraction of muscles and position that makes you more likely to drown. You have to relax and let go. Peaceful mood not resisting.
If we think we’re in charge of life we have to be in control than we make life more difficult for ourselves. Trust/ tawakkul, surrender / tasleem to the One who is in charge in control of our lives and every single thing in it.
Floating is an active surrendering. You keep your conscious awareness, be in the moment and exercise of free will while surrendering the result to God. We show intention and effort and God creates the action and its results.
Repeating subhana rabbiyal ‘ala or subhan rabbiyal ‘azhim in sajdah prostration and ruku’ bowing of salat (5 daily ritual prayers) is the “zhahir” apparent/manifest form of “tasbeeh” (glorification of God), the real meaning of tasbeeh as it transforms our inner world (thoughts and emotions) is the “batin” hidden inner aspect of “tasbeeh”. It is when the “zhahir” and the “batin” are together that we really are “making tasbeeh”.
